Weather Policy FAQ
What is the Clubs Bad Weather Policy?
The club plays games all over the state every weekend. The most up to date information will be passed via the Playmetrics systems to all families using the Playmetrics app. Coaches will pass weather information via all channels available at the time of the weather event. All practice decisions are made and communicated by the team coach or team manager. All Juniors and Recreation game changes will be communicated by the program director or Coerver Coaching. Club events are not automatically canceled if it rains. That is the coaches, referees or playing facilities discretion. The only exception is if lightning is detected within 10 miles of Club events or practices. All outdoor activities must cease for at least 30 minutes between strikes. NO EXCEPTIONS. If there is a chance of lightning in the area parents are encouraged to stay nearby in case plans suddenly change.
How do I Stay Up to Date on Weather Cancellations?
The primary method is via the Playmetrics App and the Sumter Soccer Club Facebook page.
