Recreation Juniors Program
The Juniors / Recreational leagues are focused on player development in terms of soccer skills, sportsmanship, and love of the game.
The La Liga division will focus on individual skills and play games more focused on continual play than strict rules of soccer.
The Premier division will play the full rules of soccer and referees will use their judgment on how strictly to enforce the rules to ensure the games move fast and keep the players engaged.
MLS will play full rules of soccer and will expose players to more advanced teamwork concepts.
All SSC programs are designed to teach and encourage sportsmanship and teamwork. The goal is to keep players engaged while making friends and developing healthy fitness habits through athletics.

The Sumter Soccer Club is pleased to announce a new partnership with Major League Soccer. We are working with MLS to determine the costs for our Spring 2026 Juniors/Recreational Program. Pay only a $5 registration fee today to preserve a spot. The full price will remain $95 and we anticipate many families will qualify for significant discounts and may qualify for their players to play for free! We are limiting this opportunity to the first 200 players and will announce the new program structure and fee structure soon!
Our Juniors/Recreational program is an 8 week program. For just $95, every player receives a soccer ball, team jersey, and matching socks—everything they need to play and feel like part of the team.
Our Juniors program kicks off with two exciting divisions:
La Liga (6U) for our youngest soccer stars ages 4–6, and Premier League (9U) for players ages 7–9 who are ready to take their game up a notch.
For the older kids, the Recreational League brings everyone together in the MLS (12U) division, perfect for ages 10–12 to build skills, make friends, and enjoy the love of the game.
Practices/Games:
First Practice Date: February 18, 2026
(Practices are every Mon/Wed after that). Currently scheduled for the same times as the Fall.
*Practices will be every Monday/Wednesday until 18 APRIL UNLESS you are notified of changes.
Practice Location: USC Sumter Fields - 200 Miller Road, Sumter, SC 29150 *
Start Times:
o La Liga: 5:30-6PM
o Premier League: 6-6:45PM
o MLS: 6:45-7:30PM
Note: Please have your players ready at the field dressed on soccer attire with shin guards and a ball – READY TO PLAY – at start time.
First Game: 06 March.
We will have games every Friday (same schedule as last year, currently) until April 17th

There will be no practices or games 6-10 April due to Spring Break for Sumter area
schools.
