Recreation Juniors Program
The Juniors / Recreational leagues are focused on player development in terms of soccer skills, sportsmanship, and love of the game.
The MLS division will focus on individual skills and play games more focused on continual play than strict rules of soccer.
The MLS Pro division will play the full rules of soccer and referees will use their judgment on how strictly to enforce the rules to ensure the games move fast and keep the players engaged.
MLS Next will play full rules of soccer and will expose players to more advanced teamwork concepts.
All SSC programs are designed to teach and encourage sportsmanship and teamwork. The goal is to keep players engaged while making friends and developing healthy fitness habits through athletics.
Parents will need to create a playmetrics account (in their name) and then add their player to register.

Welcome to the Sumter Soccer Club Junior Academy and Recreational League for the Fall 2026 Season! We are very excited to be teaming with Major League Soccer (MLS) for this season as part of their MLS Go effort (https://www.mlssoccer.com/mlsgo/). This year your player will receive an MLS uniform and the teams will get MLS balls. There is also options to get reduced MLS tickets if players are interested.
This league is focused on player development for kids 4-12. We break the players into 3 age groups: 4-6, 7-9, 10-12.
The league has 2 practices each week and plays games on Fridays. The league schedule will be published NLT 1 Aug and will show all practice times, games, and locations.
The cost is $95 per player and MLS Go will be sponsoring financial aid for families who qualify. If you want to help another family participate in our Juniors program - please consider donating during registration. We will use this money exclusively for our Juniors program.
The season starts Sept 8th and runs through Nov 7th.
